Start with the Kraken
Our most popular drink: 4oz of kava concentrate. It takes more kava to feel it the first time, so if you came to find out what kava does, this is the one to order.

Kava builds slowly. Wait about 20 minutes before your next round, then ask your kavatender what to try second.
Grab a seat at the bar
The bar is where regulars, first-timers and kavatenders end up talking. Tell them it is your first time and they will walk you through the menu.

About
Why Ohana Fort Myers
Ohana started in Colorado Springs in 2015 as one of the first kava bars in Colorado. Fort Myers opened in July 2026 as our first Florida location, run by local owner Sarka Hetherington and Estevon Rivera, on Winkler Ave near Colonial Blvd and Luxe 8 Flix.
Bar seating, couches and group tables, a game room, fast Wi-Fi and free parking. Nothing on the menu has alcohol in it.

What is kava?
Kava is a root drink from the South Pacific, made from the Piper methysticum plant and shared on islands like Fiji, Tonga and Vanuatu for about 3,000 years. It has an earthy, peppery taste and a calm, social effect, and it contains no alcohol. We serve it fresh by the shell, as concentrates and shots, and in cans to go.
What should I try on my first visit?
Start with the Kraken or two shells of traditional kava, since it takes a little more to feel it the first time. Wait about 20 minutes before ordering again. Our kavatenders walk first-timers through the menu every day, so just tell them it is your first visit.
Is kava safe and legal in Florida?
Kava is legal in Florida and across the U.S., where it is sold as a dietary supplement. It is considered safe for most adults in moderation. Ask your doctor first if you are pregnant, nursing, on medication or have a liver condition, and never mix kava with alcohol. Kava is served to guests 18 and up.
What events happen during the week?
Monday is the ping-pong tournament at 7:30pm, Tuesday alternates between a vendor market and swap nights at 7:30pm, Wednesday is trivia at 8pm, Thursday is Bula Bingo at 8pm, and Friday is the Magic: The Gathering tournament at 7pm. Every so often there is a pop-up poker night, announced on Instagram. The pool table, air hockey, ping-pong table and darts are open whenever nothing is scheduled.
When is happy hour?
Three times a day. Mornings 7:30 to 9am on weekdays and 10 to 11am on weekends, afternoons 4 to 6pm every day, and evenings 9 to 11pm Sunday through Thursday or 10pm to midnight Friday and Saturday.
